What should we do with her (baby) today? Go to a brewery I guess. – My husband.
My last blog/diary, Positive Polly Posts, was before the days of Instagram, Snap Chat and swiping but after the invent of Match.com. This diary held my dating adventures from Match and the many lessons learned from dating online. As luck would have it, I met my husband on Match.com and literally after our first date I (Polly) stopped my blog entries.
You could say that I was on a mission at that time. Mission: find my man! Our first date was at Beer Revolution in Oakland, California. With 50 different rotating taps … we were both in love with this place. A deep love of each other and beer has been with us from the start. We’ve centered vacations, work trips, birthdays and weekends around beer – like many of you its become the thing that brings us together.
It was only natural that when my daughter was born, we felt right at home at local breweries. Arguably she’s been to more than many adults. Local breweries have been a refuge for us on our toughest days without sleep, a safe place to go while battling the baby blues and in many ways they have been our version of church.
Today, my mission is a bit different. Well very different. Mission: Be a mom, love my family, without forgetting the things that I LOVE. Beer and “church” are just a few of those things. With the surge in craft breweries …. everywhere – I want to provide a space that offers families:
- Highlights on beers made by men and women.
- Motherhood and how beer can help
- Brewery Visits
- Reviews
- Interviews
- Events at local breweries
